Nothing on your bow.
No weight added and no mount. Your balance and your stabilizers stay exactly as you tuned them, and nothing sits in your sight picture.
XTuned Band · In development
A motion band for your bow arm, with its own app. It measures every shot with the same engine as XTuned for Apple Watch, and your phone shows each arrow's aim replay, numbers and a plain-words note.
For compound and recurve archers, on iPhone and Android.
Renders of the current design.
Why your arm
Your bow only shows what your arm did. XTuned Band measures the source: your bow arm, from the draw to the follow-through.
No weight added and no mount. Your balance and your stabilizers stay exactly as you tuned them, and nothing sits in your sight picture.
Recurve today, compound tomorrow, a friend's bow at the range. Each bow calibrates in its first 5 shots, and the band moves with you.
Nothing on your bow. Smartwatches and wrist-worn trackers are allowed under World Archery's target rules, so check your event's rules and shoot your tournaments with it.
Snug on the wrist of the hand that holds the bow, where a watch would sit. Each bow you set up has its hand, and the band goes on that wrist.
Start a session on your phone and shoot the way you always do, with the phone on a stand or locked in your pocket. A new bow calibrates in its first session: a short arm check with your bow arm hanging down, then its first 5 shots.
Each arrow shows up on your phone right after the shot: its replay, its numbers and a short note. Mark where it hit on the replay, or mark the whole end at the target.
The numbers
The same numbers as XTuned on Apple Watch. In the app, tap any number to read what it means.
How far your pin typically wandered from the middle as you aimed. Lower is steadier.
The farthest your pin got from the middle of your aim. One big wobble raises it.
How far your pin moved in the last 0.2 s before the release. Lower is a cleaner break.
How far the band moved in the 0.2 s after the shot. It's mostly the bow jumping as it fires, or a recurve rolling forward.
How long you aimed: the seconds from when your pin settled onto the target to the shot.
Seconds from when your raised bow arm went still to the shot. That's often during the draw, or a recurve's raise, so it's longer than execution.
Your bow hand's twist around your forearm as you aimed, read as steady, slight or turned.
Steady under 0.25°, slight from 0.25°, turned from 0.5°.
How fast your bow arm crept as you aimed, often with the pin still on target. Shown on its own, not in the replay, float or aim radius.
MOA is an angle: 1/60 of a degree. On a farther target, 1 MOA is bigger. Arm drift can read "Measuring" for the first arrows of a session.
Shot notes
Every arrow also gets a sentence or two of notes from its numbers, compared with your usual. They say what the band saw, not why.
The XTuned Band app
XTuned Band is a separate app from XTuned, made for the band, with the same screens, words and numbers on iPhone and Android. Its tabs cover shooting, your sessions, trends, bows and settings.

Once the app is out, you can try it with no band. It plays a real recorded session from our own shooting as if it were live. It's labelled Sample and never counts toward your own numbers.
The band
The sealed pod is the same in every band: matte black, with the XTuned logo engraved on top. You pick the frame around it.

Press the small tab under the frame, slide the pod out, and slide it into another frame until it clicks. Each strap stays on its own frame.

Fine vertical grooves run along the outer side of every frame.
A magnetic cable snaps onto the back of the pod. Its magnets only let it on the right way round, and it charges with the pod in its frame.

The pod only fits its frame one way round, so the frame sets which way it sits. Nothing to set in the app.
New band software comes from your phone over Bluetooth, with no cable needed.
No gloss anywhere, made for the range.

For archers with an Apple Watch Series 8 or later, or an Apple Watch Ultra, paired with an iPhone. The watch counts every arrow, with heart rate and Coaching View.

No watch needed. The band measures, and your phone is the screen.
In developmentBoth use the same XTuned shot engine, the same numbers and the same plain-word explanations. Watch sessions stay in XTuned, and band sessions stay in XTuned Band.
In development. XTuned Band is at the prototype stage, and we're testing prototypes at the range.
